Immunocorp Animal Health has been renamed Biorigin Scandinavia


Immunocorp Animal Health, leading producer of aquaculture immune stimulants, which was recently acquired by Biorigin, Brazilian food and feed company, has been renamed Biorigin Scandinavia.
 

It will provide Biorigin to be closer to the European market, expanding the actions in aquaculture and consolidating its presence as a leader in the purified beta glucan market.

Biorigin was created in 2003, with a structure completely dedicated to the development of innovative solutions based on yeast.

With the creation of Biorigin Scandinavia, MacroGard®, an ecological alternative to feed antibiotics and chemotherapeutics for livestock, pets and cultured aquatic organisms, has been incorporated in its product line.

Amundsen Race: MacroGard®-dogs win double

30 March 2008
Team Norway and the MacroGard®-dogs conquered the two first places in the first Amundsen Race. The Winner Robert Sørlie was a mere 40 seconds ahead of teammate Bjørnar Andersen. The race is 426 km long.

Another top-10 for the MacroGard®-dogs

Thursday 13 March
Kjetil Backen and the MacroGard®-dogs drove into Nome as number nine in Iditarod 2008, winning his third top-10 rank of three possible. Backen was a mere seven minutes behind Mitch Seavey in 8th place.

Mackey Won. Kjetil in Photo Finish for 7th

Wednesday 12 March
Lance Mackey copies Robert Sørlie and his MacroGard®-dogs from 2003 and 2005 – he wins the Iditarod in two consecutive starts. Kjetil Backen is fighting for the 7th place and enters an exclusive club: those who have finished top 10 in three of three Iditarods.
